How to Resize your Images for DPI Competitions

  1. Open the image
  2. Select Image then Image Size
  3. Turn off the Resample Image box
  4. Change Resolution to 72
  5. Turn Resample Image back on
  6. Ensure Constrain Proportions is on
  7. Edit Pixel Dimension Width to 1024
  8. This should automatically adjust your Pixel Dimension Height to 768 or less.  If not, adjust Pixel Dimension Height to 768 and Pixel Dimension Width should drop to less than 1024.  Your final dimensions must be 1024(W) x 768(H) or less.
  9. Click OK
  10. Select File then Save As
  11. Enter a file name and select JPEG as the file format. Press Save.
  12. Adjust the Image Options slider to obtain a file size of less than 500k in the window.
  13. Click OK and you’re done.
